Summary: The book has a bullfrog named Bully who lives in a pond full of lilies and wants to keep them all to himself.  No matter who comes along he will never let them near his lilies.  He would yell at anyone who would try to come by them to get out of his pond.  He shewed away a dragonfly, snail, and a bee.  The rest of the animals eventually left, and went to a new pond.  Bully sat on the lily pads alone and ate them everyday until there was only 1 left.  A tiny bee came along and saw that there was only 1 left.  He knew that alone he could do nothing, so he went and got all of his friends from the other pond.  Together they flew at Bully the bullfrog and took back the pond.  Eventually the lilies began to grow back and they lived happily again on the pond.

Audience:  I would say this book would be targeted at grades first through fourth.  I think this would be a great quick read aloud book to use in the classroom.  It shows not only the concept of bullying, but also teamwork.  They characters realize that they have to work together to achieve what they want.  It shows the importance of working through problems as well, which would be a great learning tool to have in the classroom.

Evaluation:  This picture book had many appealing characters.  Each character that the author introduced into the book was very relatable.  Especially for younger readers I think they would really enjoy the illustrations and how each character would crack jokes.  It had an easy to follow story line and always focused on the theme at hand.

Activity:
Draw a picture of you and your friends working together to get something done.  Then write a few sentences underneath your picture to explain what is taking place.
